The top image is my recreation of the bottom image which is an actual front cover for the leading fitness magazine Men's Health. Doing this recreation has taught me quite a lot, firstly how many fonts need to be used on the front cover to make the front cover effective. Furthermore i have noticed that the positioning of the image can effect the whole front cover a lot if the image is too small it will not be as visible and dominant on the page, however if the image is too big there is not enough space for a suitable amount of headlines on the front cover without crossing over the actual image too much. This recreation has also taught me how good and professional banners can look if used in the right colour with the right font and font size within the banner. This recreation will help me with my own magazine and it has give me multiple different ideas for my own front cover.
Please complete a recreation of a front cover of a magazine and a billboard. You have not completed a billboard before and the practice will allow you to have more of an awareness of how to achieve success with this ancillary task. The front cover recreation will also help develop your skills to really consider and be aware what it takes to make a professional looking product.
